Configure real-time data connection

Grafieks Real-Time Analytics is a data connector that captures the events data as soon as they occur and sends them to Grafieks Reports. It works based on the Pub/Sub model, wherein Grafieks Report subscribes to channels where the publisher/Grafieks Real-Time Analytics data connector publishes the data.

With the capability to deliver data to clients in real-time, Grafieks intents to unlock exciting possibilities for reimagining data interaction and visualization.

The first step for sourcing real-time data is to connect to a source that captures events. Currently, Grafieks Real-Time Analytics can connect to MySQL database only. For the addition of a new data source, you can connect with the Grafieks support team.

To access the data source configuration page:

1. Click on “Data Source” from the left-side menu and go to “All Data Source”
2. Click on the “Create” button
3. From the right side pane, click on the “Real-time Streaming” menu and then click on on the “Grafieks Real-Time Analytics” connector Or
4. Click on the “Grafieks Real-Time Analytics” connector from the list of data connectors

5. Add a name to the data source and click on “Next”

6. Enter the database credentials and click on “Next”
